Inma obtained her veterinary degree from the Universidad Cardenal Herrera CEU in Valencia in 2003. Following graduation, she pursued two internships in France, one at Fregis Veterinary Hospital in Paris and another at the Veterinary Faculty of Nantes.
Upon returning to Valencia, Inma joined the Internal Medicine Department at Universidad Cardenal Herrera CEU as a lecturer while completing her PhD at La Fe University Hospital. Her doctoral research, which focused on the use of stem cells in cardiac therapy, was awarded with honors in 2012.
She later undertook a three-year cardiology residency at the Royal Veterinary College in London where she also completed a Master of Veterinary Medicine. In 2022, she earned her ACVIM Diplomate status in Cardiology.
Currently, Inma leads the Cardiology Service at the Small Animal Teaching Hospital of Universidad Cardenal Herrera CEU in Valencia, Spain. In this role, she provides advanced cardiology consultations and mentors veterinary students. Additionally, she works at a Referral Centre in the UK, where she manages cardiac cases and collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to deliver cutting-edge veterinary care.
Inma values the opportunity to integrate clinical practice, teaching, and telecardiology to support general veterinary practitioners. She believes VVS provides a unique opportunity to combine these aspects effectively and is excited to be part of the team.
