Andrea graduated from Hanover Veterinary School in 2002, followed by a research doctorate in Pharmacology. Having spent some years in first opinion practice in the UK, Andrea then undertook her residency training in Dermatology at the Royal Veterinary College (RVC). She remained at RVC as a Specialist Dermatologist before moving to private referral practice at Davies Veterinary Specialists in Hertfordshire.
Andrea enjoys looking after skin patients and their owners, to manage these often chronic and frustrating cases. Her special interests are atopic disease, with emphasis on food hypersensitivity and ear disease, as well as the feline patient. She has a particular interest in progressing the understanding of the immunology of the intestine and skin. Andrea enjoys teaching undergraduate students as well as veterinary colleagues on CPD courses and has lectured widely in the UK and in Europe.
